    Did the pilot get out?
Poor air gunners did not stand much of a chance in a Defiant.
    Are there any more details?

    I see him noted on
    31 5 1940 (rank LAC)
    and
    24 8 1940 (rank Sgt)
    and
    28 8 1940 (rank Sgt)

Bit odd - same service number - presumably he crashed but was unhurt whilst an LAC in May 1940, crashed again 24th Aug and was unhurt, but on 28th his luck ran out
