This is an invision Forum, and uses the same format as the Great War Forum (by the look of it) The GWF has always had a problem with three letter word searches ( they don't work) While 'faffing' (as you do) I discovered that if you add an asterisk after the three letter word, it appears to find the word. For example RAF* should find RAF hits, though it will also find " raft " " rafts " rafters " etc etc Useful for finding threads with GHQ* or other three letter acronyms. Cheers Ron. As I said, it's not perfect, but should help sometimes. Don't ask me how it works though, or even why I thought of trying it. I think it was while on another site I remembered using * in wildcards? Mike
