1939 - Poland, Britain, Stalin, Hitler - who knew what.

I've been reading some "non-orthodox" (at least from the Russian perspective) views on the lead-up to WW2.
One of them claims that when signing (via Molotov) the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact, Stalin knew from the British that they were committed to declare war on Germany should Germany attack Poland (formalized and signed 2 days after Molotov-Ribbentrop), while Hitler was blindsided by this declaration.
Anyone know of evidence supporting or refuting this?
