    Could I get some help identifying the regiment of my grandfather from this photo.

    It could be a Royal Artillery collar badge?
    Did he have a middle name?

    Although a somewhat unusual placement, I concur re the Royal Artillery collar badge. The Royal Scots Fusiliers cap badge was also somewhat larger than implied by the photo in post #1.

    Thought I found him but it was Harold William King.

    Many thanks gus. I really appreciate any help I can get on this. I never saw my grandad looking like that because he lost his right eye and fair bit of his wits to a piece of shrapnel.
