Header poppies put away for another year.
Our own little local equivalent of the colours bobbing back up after the silence. (My favourite bit of a remembrance service - due respects paid, everyone back to normal life now.)

It is a really good initiative having the poppies in the header during the 'Remembrance' period and conveys the message of this period of the year with no need for spoken or written words.

Nice, as usual, a poignant reminder.
I've only worn my poppy from 1st November, I think the BBC go too far overboard by pinning poppies on everyone on daytime TV, be it a foreign football manager or orang utan at the zoo! It's so obvious that it demeans the symbol, rather than enhance.

Not got one yet. Still have a t-shirt on in this 'mild' climate. Darned things fall off anyway. I'll not have one until Nov 12 probably.

Well if you ''Darned'' them on instead of Cursing them, they would not fall off all year !!

    Me too.

Has anybody seen the proposed Sculpture of the Lancaster bomber with poppies trailing back to the earth to be built on the A46 as a gateway to Lincolnshire? I don't know how to get the picture from a closed Facebook site to this one. It is stunning.

This reminds of a plane they use to fight fires with.
Lancaster Bomber sculpture off A46 could be beacon for Lincolnshire
