    CS,
    Many thanks.
Brought back memories of my late uncle who was conscripted and saw service in the Royal Engineers before the end of WW2.
He was with a unit on the Suez canal using German POW labour.
Before being released a POW who came from Hamburg and was a watchmaker before the war, made my uncle a cigarette box, hand carved and inlaid.
My uncle donated it to the Museum during a visit before he died.
    Regards
    Tom
