I could use some assistance from members of the forum who might have an insight in german files containing information of names and dates of soldiers who were stationed in Kriegsmarine-Stammkompanie Frederikshavn, Denmark during the war. The museum where I am currently undertaking my internship has discovered a journal of a german soldier named Horst H. Lange who was stationed in Frederikshavn. If possible, I would also like to know more about this chap. Not an awful lot is written about the company nor Horst Lange in danish, so here's to hoping there might be something written in german. Thanks in advance.
Jakob, You have not stated if the Soldier wrote his service number in his journal, but, although a long shot you should make contact with these two addresses. They may be able to do a surname search and pin down the christian names. If you search the web, both should have email addresses for contact. Bundesarchiv - Zentralnachweisstelle Abteigarten 6 52076 Aachen Deutsche Dienststelle (WASt) Eichborndamm 179 13403 Berlin I would suggest making contact with the Berlin address first, stating that you are currently working at the museum and would appreciate their help and co-operation. Good luck. Regards Tom
