I am hoping someone can identify this man, who was educated (1936 to 1939) at St Joseph's College, London and is commemorated on the War Memorial at the school.

On the memorial it states G De Try FFI (army).

FFI is, I believe the acronym for the French Resistance. A google search reveals the name De Try is often an alternative for Detry. I have found that, on the school's memorial, the initial (G) signifies the name that he was known as, and can often be the second forename.

Are there any de Try or Detry member(s) of the FFI who were killed during the war...?

    Thanks

    Pete
