    Could you post a copy of the abbreviations please. Members find it easier if they have sight of the original document so they can help.

    Here are some answers.

    MTLRU = Mechanical Transport Light Repair Unit
    BAFO = British Air Force of Occupation
    PHU = Personnel Holding Unit

    As Lesley says, it's easier if we can seen the original record.

    DMT is probably Driver Mechanical Transport - as opposed to Driver of horsedrawn vehicles.

    Posts moved/merged into one separate thread.

    Would indeed be helpful to see actual images, if you could upload them. Also putting Unit name at least in the title tends to attract those with particular knowledge.

    Sorry to have caused a problem. As 4jonboy said, 'stick to one thread', I had asked the question as part of another thread, so I had set one up alone, but other members were starting to give me answers to the questions, where I had uploaded a blow-up of the actual columns with the abbreviations listed. I was grateful for 4jonboy, Richard Lewis and chrisgrove for their input. They were a great help, plus the other members answering in "Abbreviations".

    No problem at all it's simple to fix. Just stating what's been done and why.
