    Hi,
    I have just been sent this programme of events for Operation Goodwood taking place in a couple of weeks. if you happen to be out there at the time , do pop along to any one of these.

    June 5, 2019:


    The Mesnil of Bavent:

    9:00 am: Remembrance Service in honor of the 3rd Parachute Brigade, 6th Airborne Division, with the participation of Parachute Regiment and Music The Band of Liberation (Holland)



    Pegasus Ranville Memorial:

    11:00 am Ceremony in honor of the 6th Airborne Division. Presentation of the Legion of Honor to veterans, Parachute Regiment and The Pegasus Mass Band. Free visit of the museum. Wreath laying at Brigadier Hill Statue.


    Sannerville Drop Zone "K" (original DZ of the 8th Parachute Battalion on June 6, 1944)

    15.00 hrs-16.00 hrs: parachuting 250 British and French soldiers (Parachute Regiment + 11th Parachute Brigade) Demonstration of the Red Devils and parachute duet of a veteran of the 6th Airborne Division)

    16.00 hrs-16.30hrs : Fly past by 3 Spitfire & 2 Dakotas by The Pathfinder Europe Group UK and drop

    16.30 hrs-17.00hrs: Fly past of 34 Dakotas (from all over the world) + spitfire and mustangs and parachute drop by the Dakotas of 250 paratroopers in 1944. Musical participation of the Royal British Legion Band Llanni and The Band of Liberation.


    Bures on Dives:

    18.30 hrs: Cpt Jukes Memorial: Wreath laying. Participation of the Para RE and the music of the RBL Band


    Troarn:

    19.30 hrs: Laying wreaths at the cemetery on the graves of the 8th Para Bn, followed by a parade to the war memorial. Participation of The Parachute Regiment and RBL Band music. Vin d’honneur


    June 6, 2019:


    Ranville Military Cemetery

    11:00 am: Remembrance Service Participation of the Parachute Regiment and the music The Pegasus Massed Band.

    Bavent:

    14.00 hrs : Wreath laying ceremony and visit of the 3rd Parachute Brigade HQ. Participation of Parachute Medical Corps and Band of RBL.


    Sannerville:

    16.30 hrs: Wreath laying at the 4th Royal Marines Command Special Brigade. Participation of the RBL Band.


    Touffreville:

    17.00 hrs: Wreath laying at the 8th Parachute Battalion Memorial, followed by Platt and Billington stelae and cemetery. Vin d’honneur. Participation of the music of the RBL Band. Colonel Commandant of The Parachute Regiment.


    June 7, 2019:


    Sannerville 3rd British Infantry Memorial Division Goodwood:

    09.00 hrs: Wreath laying, followed by a parade to the Banneville la Campagne military cemetery. Participation of the music The Parachute Regiment Band. CO of the 3rd British Division.


    Banneville the Campaign. Military cemetery.

    10.30 hrs : International Goodwood Battle Remembrance Ceremony and Falaise Pocket. French, British and German military participation. RBL Band Music. Passage of Dakotas. Participation of 600 school children to deposit a flower on each of 2175 graves. Colonel Commandant The Parachute Regiment. CO The 3rd British Division.
