Rita Fortune (nee Buckley) is my Grandmother. Stan left her and her two children back when Keith (my dad, their eldest) was 7 or 8? As far as we know he moved to the UK and my uncle and Dad grew up fatherless Rita is still alive.

I can, but I’d like to know why people are looking to find information about Stan first please. We searched for him for years and found he’d had another family in the UK, but now we see he’s passed away in Australia?

    Hello Jaimee,

Welcome to the forum . The sole purpose of this thread was to correct the `presumptions` made in Australia. There was by all accounts a tremendous turnout for his funeral however the story the Australians released appeared to bare no relation to the Gentleman who had died so we tried to find out the truth .
This forum is great for solving mysteries and although we lost Richard (Tricky Dickie) earlier this year the members here are a grand bunch.
We are not looking for information ,we were simply trying to let the Aussies and the papers know they had it wrong. Nothing more.

    Thanks

    Kyle
