    HITLER’S VISIT TO WARSAW 1939

I continue my Warsaw series of articles, devoted to the occupation of Poland and the Holocaust. I have used Hitler’s visit to the conquered Warsaw as an insight into the topic of the occupation in wider terms. Let’s deepen into the September 1939 war campaign, the siege of Warsaw, daily agenda of Hitler, and the duties of Erwin Rommel as the chief of the ‘Führerbegleitbataillon’ (Führer escort brigade). This material demanded more than a month of my work and 50+ books to research the intimate story, finally resulted in a 6000-word article.

As always, I would be grateful for your feedback on the material: questions, adding, facts: your comments, and half an hour of your time, invested in reading.

Maksym....again a superb account on looking back in history....the foundation of the independent state of Poland whose emergence led to Hitler's comment.....the bastard of Versailles.

I think your contributions deserve to be arranged in their own dedicated folder.
