Lee tweeted a link yesterday to an interesting TNA transcript (Britain's minor wars, now mostly forgotten) here:

THE ASSAULT ON LIMBANG 42 COMMANDO - Arcre

One of a series of transcripts from from here:

    Brunei Revolt - Arcre

The TNA document on the Brunei revolt mentioned five casualties from 42 Cdo RM, a Troop Sergeant and four Marines. I then remembered my AFM search engine had not worked for a few years, since the site had been moved twice and the links broke. I had the original database on my PC, so did a search.
There were five results for 42 Cdo, for 12th December 1962:

Sgt. W. G. Macfarlane AFM Results Page
Marine R. D. Formoy AFM Results Page
Marine R. Jennings AFM Results Page
Marine G. Kierans AFM Results Page
Marine F. S. Powell AFM Results Page

Another casualty for that date was also found, a Lt. from Gurkha Rifles:
Lt. D. E. Stephens AFM Results Page

No mention is made of a Gurkha casualty, but it mentions a Gurkha Regimental MO attending (Gurkha Rifles were at the airport at Brunei, from where the task force was assembling)

My restored AFM search engine is Here.
It seems to work (it is still quite basic), there may have been corrections made since I compiled it, so is not up to date and it will not have any of the recent updates included.

The official MOD search page is Here, but you can only search on name, service and number, so it would not have been possible to find these casualties from there.

    Cheers,

    Geoff

Thanks for posting Geoff, and for fixing your AFM search engine.
