I have gone well down the Heroics & Ros/Navwar path & I am also aware of GHQ miniatures but has anyone got any example pics or feedback of these 2 miniatures manufacturers as they seem to have quite a few useful additions to the usual products?

Well, I couldn't resist & jumped in & bought some Belgian T13s, T15s, ACG1s (ie French AMC35s) and some utility cars of some sort, from here: Scotia Website
Good running gear detail on all tanks, would sit alongside Navwar examples no problem and are same price.
I hasten to add I am nothing to do with the company but they do make some unusual miniatures as well as the normal stuff!

Sorry Les, I hadn't seen your first post. Only heard about Armstrong recently, but I do have some stuff from Scotia and am quite happy with them. And yes, they more than complement the holes in H&R/Navwar.

By the way, my pre-Perestroika Soviet and American forces (quite large, I was able to buy at trade cost) are GHQ, but for transport and ancillaries went to H&R and they never raised an eyebrow.

    Hi Les

Armstrong's 1/300th stuff is very nice IMO, however he is a mate and I do his web-page for him. Are the pics on the site not good enough?

He is soon to release a P16 Recce Halftrack - which may well please you - Ive seen the master and its very nice :)

    Cheers

    Bob

Hello Bob, I seem to have linked to your miniatures page in the post up there. (Bob Mackenzie's homepage - 20mm & 1/300th Wargames) Well worth a look in itself;)
The Ian Armstrong miniatures have much crisper detail than H&R and slightly better than Scotia and are no more expensive as I recall. They have filled a couple of gaps in my armies insofaras if it a miniature is in production from the invasion of France then I pretty much have to find a use for it but I think he has especially cornered the niche market for German AFVs using foreign chassis!
I think I have his Morris 15cwt towing 25mm AT guns which look good if even if they did not do so!
The photos on the website are great, I think they have been updated recently.

And this link to the Xyele site: Miniature Gaming Supplies and Support which has some very nice fotes. I hasten to add I have not posted thus in order to procure freebies, I am quite happy with the size of my forces & have a few planes & utility vehicles still to paint :camouflage:. Oh except for some of them P16s i will have off you! :D
