At this time 70 Years ago, The Germans were engaged in their final assault on the Port of Sevastopol in the Crimea. The siege which went on for a number of months was finished in early July 1942 but the Germans literally battered their way into the port using all manner of Artillery to reduce the Soviet Fortifications. on this day 13th June one of the bigger fortifications, "Fort Stalin" was captured on the Northern Part of the Defences.
