    In Italy I was asked by a German Officer how many Battalions of Irish Guards in England. I said I don’t know. He also asked a lot of other questions.

    Whilst working in Asphalt Factory we were greatly assisted by Willi Stephen, Manager of “Norma’s” Asphalt Factory, who was later dismissed for being too friendly to the prisoners. He and his family were a great help to us. He lives at Neundorf Pirna.
