    Okay,

Not that I am one to waste resources I have sitting doing nothing here is my next suggestion for the site.

    How about ww2 radio!!!

I have a spare shoutcast account that can be used to play music, stories, have live broadcasts and much more.

Would you be interested in listening, there will be requests! and I even have a license to broadcast all types of music by any artist!

Please vote to let me know if you would be interested.

And it would streamed straight to this site so you can listen while searching and posting.

    Doug,

I have all his speeches and speeches of many others, I agree, it sends a shiver down me even now listenning to some of them, and bringing them across a radio stream within a world war 2 music environment again would just be scary I think, but great also.

I think Glenn Miller is a must.

I remember a fantastic concert I went to quite a few years ago now, which was called 'Remember Glenn Miller' and it was Glenn's brother Herb who was orchestrating it together with some of the original members of the band.

And yes it was me who voted for option 3...... :P

    Okay,

I need at least two witnesses to verify that Dee said will go on air when I set up the new station, just to make sure there is no backing out :D

I remember when i was 23 (long time ago) i attended a concert at Birmingham Town Hall (Now Sadly Closed). The accoustics where superb, the concert was by the Glen Miller Orchestra,at the time they were the only people in the UK officially licensed by the Glen Miller Organisation to use the name.

It was THE BEST concert i have ever been to and remains so.I have been to many concerts over the years Rock,Heavy Metal,New Romantic,Orchestral.Glen Miller remains the best i have seen.

I wonder if they were one in the same orchestra? I was 17 when I saw Herb Miller at the Coliseum at Carlyon Bay in Cornwall. I can't find it at the moment but I do remember buying the album and having it signed personally by Herb, he was such a lovely chap (it must be with some of the bits and pieces still at my mum and dad's).
