    Boy did this thread take me back...and I`ve still got most of my comics in my loft...when I was a kid ( a long,long,time ago) I used to tell everybody I was going to get a job drawing the stories in these things....never did though...got a few smaller cartoons published in the local rag..but that was that.Anyway found my old sketch book and this was one I thought I`d share with you...don`t laugh I was only 15 when I drew this one! Seems like yesterday

    No, not at all... That must be a special edition - afaik they also do pinups (where's Steve?). The series is eastern front scenario and features but few pinup style scenes.

    Aint it just:D used to get the Warlord comic regular as clockwork every wednesday.

    Do they still do Battle Picture Library etc?
    I have a box of them in the loft from the early 70's, I remember on holiday in Scotland pestering my dad to by one or two a week , maybe even a back copy or two off those carousels in newsagents! Happy days.

    I am amazed, they are still going over there. I enjoyed reading them as a kid here but havnt seen them at the newsagents for years. Occasionally an issue in a hardcover.

    I read Sgt Rock, as a kid I downloaded onto dvd every issue somone scanned from torrents a couple years ago

    I actually don't read the Commando Comics but try to get all of them in relation to the Desert Campaign. However; recently I just had to buy one which is not at all related to the desert - isn't this cover most dramatic:
