I'm sure our forumites don't want to be called 'a member' do they?

Not sure of that title any more. Wouldn't want to accidently be thought of as an MP; the shame of it!

I rather fancy "Mature" for those of us who are past the age of discretion

    (In my case 85+)

    Ron

Oh, don't worry Ron, I had no intent to offend: I do love cheese, the stronger the better! Besides at the present rate I'll be catching up with you sooner than later :)

We've had something similar Andy, bit messy. Extra graphical stuff kind of clogged up the side-bar unnecessarily.
(And can you really imagine Ron, Brian etc. displaying any other insignia than their own... I think not  )

If it were to be graphical I'd like something like those peanut boards in pubs that gradually reveal a softcore picture as more salty snacks are ordered...

Good point and well presented :D

I realise that it is purely fun, but I noticed some Military forums have salutes, mentioned in Dispatches and medal awards as reps.

It looks visually good for one thing and looks more military inclined to me, but I am quite content with the present system.

    Regards

Little green squares are fine as far as I'm concerned. Medals are for those who earned them.

Or we can dispense with the thing altogether at the slightest inkling of a pissing contest, that's not what I'm here for ;)

While we are here to present and learn, what about an education theme!

Starting off with "Preppy" or "Beginner" and a range up to Graduate in the language of the day.

    Beginner
    Primary
    Preparatory
    Secondary
    Proficient (Proficiency)
    Intermediate
    Matriculator
    Graduate
    :rolleyes::rolleyes:

I think those who still *are* in an educational system might not be so fond of this... :P

How about an Digger, or other 'unit nicknames' depending on where your from - like me and the ozzys would be "Diggers" or "ANZACs" etc.

Edit: NOT ranks *ducks and runs behind nearest wall* :peepwalla:
