David and Adam, Thanks for checking. I was beginning to worry, only getting so far loading and it hangs ... Yes it is a shame that problems occuring again. Hope that previous experience will help sort it out quicker this time. Diane
Currently I am getting the dreaded "This program cannot display the webpage" for the Great War Forum. Anyone else in the same boat? With best wishes, David

Seems to be an almost daily problem now? At regular times and for a fairly predictable period, I think, Paul. Last night's though was more severe - out for best part of 5 hours. No explanation from the site-owners seen as yet. Jim
Seems to be an almost daily problem now? Several times a day even! Seems to have gone tits up yet again (and has been for at least the past hour). I noticed an interesting point on a thread last time I was on (before the mods closed yet another thread!) mentioning the fact that there always appear to be a lot of "guest" users present when it goes down. Just before it froze earlier today, i noticed 8 members, 0 anonymous members (strange really, as I was on there in that guise) and 52 guests. Can't see how it might be linked, but you never know. dave.
8 members, 0 anonymous members (strange really, as I was on there in that guise) and 52 guests. . just managed to get on the first page (only took 45 minutes to download!), but no further - now reading 5 members, 3 anon. members and 70 guests!!! Could be a link, I suppose. dave

No wonder Chris Baker gave it away - "I think it's goin' to blow ,Cap'n!" dave. Lol , like your post Dave. I've had problems with it since mid-morning Steve

Just discovered that it seems to work ok in the "lo-fi" version ... seems to be back on again now (quick! Get in there before it crashes again!!!! (though there's been nothing new on there since 12:57)) Dave. ...whoops, forget that - now stating IPS Driver Error!!! ...nope, it's back on again (with the error just on checking daily posts)....

Looks like it's broke again - this is what you get now: IPS Driver Error There appears to be an error with the database. You can try to refresh the page by clicking here
Someone put it out of it's misery!!!! Think someone is doing just that ...? Are there saboteurs lurking in the shadows, or is this a case of the site becoming unmanageable? Selfishly, I am glad I have got as far as is possible with my own research. Pity about the site all the same. dbf
It does seem to be going through a rather odd phase at the moment, technical problems aside. Tech glitches and the Soren doodle thing aside, you're probably right, Paul. Bedding in of a new management structure together with a few members 'testing' the new team for the hell of it will give you that, I'd say. It's survived much worse. I reckon it'll survive this.
My AVG has, this evening, closed one down. Has anyone else experienced this whilst logged on to the GWF? Regards, David
