I played Panzer General II for ages but got fed up of fighting the PC.
Anyone got a copy and want to play on-line?
Never have so could be fun.
Anyone suggest another 2-D game along similar lines?

Have you guys ever tried Combat Mission? It's much more like a tabletop wargame, and not an arcade game; three versions now. Another on the way which may promise to be a WW2 version of RTW/MTWII in some respects:

Hey, I got a copy of that game Blitzkrieg. It's alot of fun. Never had anything like that when I was a kid.

My friends kid had a bunch of files that were modifications of PGII that made the game sort of fun but nothing like Blitzkrieg.

    Enjoy:D

    Pete,
Blitzkrieg doesn't work now PC is on-line.
I remember you had same problem once.
I've downloaded the demo game from here.

Really enjoying it, wish I'd foundit before.
I know Paul mentioned Combat Mission it months ago but did I listen? No.

Recommended anyway and that's from just playing the tutorial game.

Yes that Narva Scenario looks well worth it. After reading your posts about it I dug it out last night and had a great time storming a village during Operation Barbarossa!! The game certainly teaches you about using terrain and squads properly!

Just spent last 2 hours playing one of the demo scenarios.
Green & conscript troops just would not advance!
    Eventually won after 28 turns!

I remember seeing that game, the Germans mumble in Kraut and Run in place as they advance towards their objective. It seemed to me that there was a whole lot going on and it was hard to get people to go where you wanted them to....hmmm that's sounds familiar.

I heard about a game called call of duty that sounded interesting but it seemed like you needed over 512 and 2.4 gigs with a cable connection or hang time would bore you to death. It's hard with little free time, if I get it, I like to go to the Range.

You guys in England had Airsoft Tactical tournaments with night vision and Glow pellets that looked like fun.
