I have just had communication from the owners of where I am staying and because the place is in the 'restricted zone' over 5/6 June I now need to supply my vehicle registration documents to get a pass. Ryan, reading the French version of the site you got this from, it seems to imply that access to the main battlefield area will only be via the checkpoints shown on this map and all other roads will be closed or have roadblocks on them. Do you have any further information?
Hi Paul, Thats all I have so far, as I will be arriving on the 5th and will already be inside the 'zone' I will be ok as I have my pass/be registered. My understanding is that this only applies on the 6th and yes those routes in and out are the only access points. I'll see if I can gain anything extra Ryan

Thanks Ryan; having been told by MOD we didn't need window stickers for access, now told we do - which is proving a nightmare to sort out. I really wonder what it will be like on the day!!!
Indeed! I'm just thankful the Gite owners in Bernieres notified me for this when they asked for my reg docs which led me to look into things a little more. I will leave the car in Bernieres when we arrive Sat then take to the bikes certainly Sun thru Mon! Good luck! Ryan
