    Hi All,

I am rearching a WWII era Naval officer who served May to October 1944 on the staff of Bertram Ramsey, Allied Naval Commander Expeditionary Force (ANCXF). Ramsey moved his unit to France in August 1944, whiche explains the France and Germany clasp that the officer in question has on his Atlantic Star, and this is confirmed from his medal records.

There are some diaries in the National Archives for Ramsey unit and I will take a look at those the next time I get there.

In the meantime, I wondered if anyone on this forum had researched the movements of Ramsey and his staff while in France during 1944 and can share any information the unit?

    Thanks and regards,

    Steve
