    'The Happy Warrior.'

A new family written book about the life of Eric Stephenson of 3/2 Gurkha Rifles. A Chindit 1 survivor who sadly lost his life the following year in the Arakan region of Burma.

Eric was also a professional footballer in civilian life, playing for Leeds United and England.

Please see the attached pdf for more details.

'The Happy Warrior' is a wonderful book, that gives an insight into the man behind the soldier, as well as describing, through his letters home, the terrible nature of the fighting in the Arakan. I was particularly touched by the author's own experience, as I believe it must have mirrored in many ways that of my Mum, who of course lost her father in the same cruel way.
