      It was no trouble posting them, and thanks for your very kind congratulations. I have to say that seeing the emotions in the faces of the Chindits made every one of the 3,000+ hours of work worth every second. Have to say on the day it was mounted on the stone by Mark Eaton the stonemason, I stepped back to look at it and just burst into tears, Dad would have loved to have seen it - maybe he can - who knows. I only just held things together on VJ Day during the service, but I had to keep the "stiff upper lip" as I was on Standard Bearing duty.
