Hello, I am new on the site and I'm doing some research about the Liberation of my hometown Oudenaarde in Belgium during WW2. The first Regiment to liberate Oudenaarde was 5th Royal Tank Regiment. Corporal C.L. CALAS was brought to the townhall. He wrote folllowing message in the GULDENBOEK : "Copl. His signature T. 121770 R. Tank R. Desert Rats (C.L.CALAS) 5th September 1944" Is there someone who can give me some explanation about the mentioned T.121277 ? Corporal C.L. CALAS belonged to the "5th Royal Tank Regiment" C.O. was Lt.Col. C.A. Holliman. The C.O. was "killed in in action" in The Netherlands at SCHILBERG on January 21st, 1944, during Operation Blackcock"

Not many people answer queries in The Gallery.
