Dad served with 158 Field Regt from January1941 onwards and served throughout until Dec 1944. I may be wrong but he looks very like the Lance Corporal in the picture. Apologies if I'm mistaken. He was William (Bill) Claridge.

David – I'll check the names of the others if I can find them. All the men in the photo were 'lance bombardiers' (single stripe in the RA) at that time. My dad's second from the left.

Hi, Thanks so much it's really appreciated. The guy on the extreme right so looks like Dad but it could just be me wanting it to be so. I can't get enough magnification to see but I'll download it and try my laptop software on it.. If there's a date on the reverse, I can tell from his records when he made L Bdr. Sadly the big group photo I found today is of 10 Training Unit which he joined on his return home in '44, I think 158 was disbanded shortly after.

They all look so young, don't they.

      Thanks again. Regards David.
