      Circumstances: Reversing slowly in wood. North bank of ALLER. Turret about 12 o'clock.

      Position of Hit: a) scoop on gun mantlet, on the Operator's side; b ) penetration about 60 mm. diameter through the right side of turret, near roof an at front end.

      Course & Effect of Projectiles: No fire except Operator's clothes.

      Remarks: Tank seen, but detailed internal examination could not be made as it was sealed. Information from Squadron Leader.

      Fate of Crew:
      Commander, Gunner & Driver: Got out apparently unhurt and were killed outside by sniping.
      Co-Driver: Got out unhurt, and was wounded outside by sniping.
      Operator: Killed in tank. Severe head wounds.
