he gets a few mentions in the war diary. went to The Wardrobe's website, on the war diary page searched for 'browne' in 1st wilts war dairy. http://www.thewardrobe.org.uk/research/war-diaries/search/regiment:26/q:browne

Struan Browne passed away in 1998 but I'm pleased to say that I have tracked down his son - but have not spoken to him as yet - so will hopefully pass on the photographs in the near future. Many thanks for all your help because I would not have done it without you!

Someone posted a link to rootsweb.com where a relative of his has been doing major research on the family and I found her email address. She lives in Canada and replied almost immediately with the sons last known address and telephone number - he is away at present so will speak to him on his return.
