Location: Freckenham Camp, Freckenham, Suffolk. Mar/Apr 45 Training of 200 Czechs as reinforcements for Czech Motor Battalions. As well as military training, sport is encouraged, lectures are given on a variety of subjects (“Problems of Reconstruction”, “New Zealand and Emigration”) The end of the war in Europe results in the stressing, for Far East training, of such subjects as short range shooting, and movement and concealment in thick country. Mention is made of the retraining of ex-PoWs, agricultural work and the Army Education Scheme with periods on subjects such as Law, Maths, English Grammar, French, Electrical Installation etc.
