This is the Indian formation sign for the AFS.
My father was in the 19th AFS (air support) of which it is difficult to track down his movements after aclimatising in Comilla India and then into Burma November 1944 onwards.
The regimental history written by Lieutenant Colonel Gilbert Royal Signals, even he comments there is not much detail to record specific dates and moves, only referring to Chittagong, Rangoon and then Singapore briefly. So if you have any further data it would be appreciated.
