At the entrance to Ardress House, Co Armagh, a National Trust property.

Wonderful photos. (We went to Finland a few years back, not able to take many photos, December and -35 degrees.)

Fantastic! That kind of cold saps the life out of you and also drains batteries within minutes!

Still though, what is on your own door step is often the best. There are some lovely spots in the North but never made it to Ardress House when I lived in that part of the world. I must pay a visit one of these days.

Here is a few from Inis Mor (Inishmore), the largest of the Aran Islands off the west coast. This part is off the beaten track, not accessible by roads, trails or anything else. Need to do a bit of climbing to get to it so most visitors end up missing out.

Those photos set off my vertigo. :D
Aye, we were warned it was pointless bringing any cameras due to conditions (dark and cold), but I risked an old compact and kept it tucked in close to my heart!

Newcastle is in a beautiful spot, especially looking the other way! The Mournes are truly stunning.

    Great photos everyone!
Here are a couple of my recent ones.
First is from Manu Bay, Raglan, New Zealand. Its meant to be a pretty decent surfing spot in the foreground.

and the second is WWII related, looking over an old coastal battery at Makara Beach, near Wellington, New Zealand

AS can be imagined - there are thousands of most beautiful scenes all over Canada particularly in the West - so having seen many especially in the Rockies - I made the excuse to visit our branch

office at Whitehorse, Yukon many times each June - and to stand on a hill overlooking the Town at 3 a.m. to watch the Sun set half way down the horizon only to rise again in perfect daylight - is so

awesome and unforgettable and rivals the sunrise from the top of Monte Terminillo near Rietti in Central Italy, through the clouds making the whole world into a Pink wonderland... or from the clifftops

of Taormino in Sicily, or Martigny / Econe on the Rhone at Switzerland - should carry a camera but always think of it too late...

    Cheers
