    **ATTENTION** WW2 Enthusiasts/Collectors
    FOR SALE
The complete collection of The War Unlimited Magazine from issue 1 to issue 255 (all 255 copies), covering the period of 1939-1947. No missing pages or rips and in remarkably good condition to say they are around 80 years old.
There are very few surviving complete sets offered on the open market so this is a superb investment opportunity to own a unique piece of history.
    Serious offers welcomed

.... as the edit facility for the above post timed out in a ridiculously short period of time, I wanted to add that for WW2 researchers this collection is an absolute goldmine of information. For those who would just like to rekindle wartime memories then this provides all the news, stories, reports and remarkable pictures of every aspect of the war. It could take up to a year to read through them all! For collectors, this collection will only enhance your collection.

Should someone be interested but lacking somewhat in funds then I am always open to discussing a trade... i.e...computer, phone, or whatever. Any questions please feel free to message me.

Is this maybe the war "Illustrated" rather than "Unlimited"? as I cant find any trace of Unlimited but Illustrated is well known and seems to consist of 255 issues

Yes, thanks for mentioning. It's The War Illustrated set I have, which is why I wanted to edit the ad as I inadvertently put the wrong word. My mind must have been somewhere else!

There are single copies from £1 to £10 or more on ebay. There are also multiple copies available from a couple of pounds up to £150. The last complete set on there sold for £300 - and that had one issue with a front cover missing and several issues with pages torn. A complete full set carries a premium, and if one is going for £75 then it will be snapped up. The point is people can ask for whatever they want on ebay and auction sites, whether or not they get it is another matter entirely. If someone does want something badly enough then they'll buy it.

I've had my enjoyment out of them so it's time to pass them on to someone who will also get that pleasure. Complete sets like this in good condition will only go up in value in coming years.

For some reason the book format rather than the individual magazines seem to go much cheaper, not sure if they are condensed or just the same but bound

Yes, it's a strange one that. I've never seen or read the books, so I don't know the difference in content, but there are 10 volumes of them. You're right, they generally sell for much less by comparison to the magazines... although having said that, I've recently seen a single volume (book) on abe books selling for £6, and the complete 10 volumes (books) for over £400 and also over £500. Cant make head nor tail of it. It's a weird world.

I'd much prefer the musty smell and well weathered look of newsprint :D
