My Grandfather Carroll was in WWII but he passed in 1960 and never knew him. I have his flag, but I'm having trouble finding his Unit. Cpl LeRoy H. Carroll 1852nd SCU - PWC I know he served in the South Pacific and he was very sick with Malaria. I would appreciate all the help I can get. Thank you. Deidra
Hi Deidra Welcome to the forum. I have little knowledge of the US Army, but notice there have been other threads on this forum on US Army SCU's (Service Command Units). This is just one of them but gives some idea of their role. US Army Service Command Unit, SCU Travers
Hi Diedra Seems there was a 1852nd Unit Station Hospital, maybe request a search here WW2 Casualties Database | Military Records Research | WW2 Research Inc I would suggest obtaining his service records, I think this may help Request Military Service Records Just to make clear this forum normally covers British and Commonwealth activites, however there is a US sister site here http://ww2f.com/ TD
