Very interesting thanks . Surely the chap in India is on the wrong memorial ? I think , like brook wood , a significant proportion of those who are unaccounted for on the Runnymede memorial are lost burials in the UK rather than lost bodies

Johney, I agree one of them may be on the wrong memorial. They won't be the first incorrect ones. I've had a few changes myself by CWGC with evidence. They also refused to change even with evidence. 6 Lincolns sailed in a Polish Ship called SS Batory, 10,000 tons with a capacity to carry 2,200 troops. Rob

This chap did not appear on the casualty roll so was marked down for further investigation. It appears he was from Lincoln so will be looking there.
