For dbf, keep up the good work! And, as ever, posted for you with much appreciation as the detail of the gallant attempt to save Captain Grant-Watson, and his selfless actions, should not pass without mention. As always, much soul-searching in posting, given the utmost respect that I have for the author of the source of information attached, extracts from what I believe to be the absolute definitive work on SAS, SBS, and LRDG casualties. May it promulgate their memory for evermore. As a matter for my conscience in using this source, and to continue its original aims, I have donated £100 to the Combat Stress charity prior to posting here. Please note, if I should receive a cease and desist request I will, immediately and with all reverence, always. So, for dbf and all, from; THE SAS AND LRDG ROLL OF HONOUR 1941-47 VOLUME I – DEEDS SHOW North Africa, the Middle East and New Zealand EX-LANCE-CORPORAL X, QGM The passage of time never makes for easier reading. Sincerely, Jim.
