Negroni! First one tastes a bit odd, second one you start to like and
the third one you can't remember.

    Welcome to forum, Michael.

Do you know if there any Shermans or other WWII vehicles displayed in Costa Rica?

This is rather nice if you like very strong Stout. Apparently voted Worlds Best Strong Beer earlier this year

You can legitimately call me a lightweight now. This summer I have mostly been drinking Stiegl grapefruit radlers although I just discovered a local cider which is apple with peach puree added which just tastes like peach, with no extra sugar, and that is very good.

And I found ONE pub in Toronto that has a Cornish cider on tap. If only some Somerset ciders were available...

Asda occasionally drops the price of El Jimador Tequila below my inbuilt mental trigger.
Tend to lay in a stock of the Reposado/Gold then.

Whether that's a good idea remains debatable, but smooth stuff, superior to most of the mainstream brands, and not so far from the crazily expensive small bottles of more premium stuff.

Can't escape the feeling that all the best Tequila rarely leaves Mexico, though.

Also been trying to get Mojitos right.
Astringent nectar when well done, but a minty mess so far. Not helped by the speed of inebriation while trying to do science...

Old Scrooge - not to be confused with a US Christmas beer of the same name - the English Old Scrooge is brewed by the Three Tuns brewery of Bishops Castle. It is a dark strong beer very like the Trappist Chimay Blue but much much better

Retardedly mistakenly bought 'Watermelon & Lime' flavoured vodka by Whitleys.
Do not buy Watermelon & Lime flavoured vodka by Whitleys.
Even after 50:50 dilution with some frankly astonishing Ukrainian stuff a mate gave me (fiver a litre... hairs on the chest & blindness in the eyes), it still tastes like your granny's perfume.

I have been going to the Three Tuns for years and have tended to stick to the Cleric's Cure due to the need to get back to Clun. I must try the Old Scrooge when they reopen after the Viral Apocalypse.

I can only get bottles at the Ludlow Food Centre, unfortunately this does not count as essential travel.

Did you actually buy that, or was it given to you? If you did, what were you thinking? Perhaps the result of a drunken trip to the liquor store?

Have the privilegue of a tiny but remarkably fine old fashioned brewery nearby. They manufacture like 100 years ago purely by hand. You may also have a look "backstage" any time. Needs a 1h ride (usually longer) and a sixpack costs breathtaking 50€ - but it´s worth every effort in time and money

Biggest imaginable compliment in northern Germany: Da kann man wirklich nicht meckern!
(you really can't complain about that) :)

    As stated, mistakenly.
Whitleys (Gin people) have started marketing quite nice crisp Vodkas in a red bottle.
    This was a reddish bottle...

Christ, I'm looking forward to popping to the pub again.
Assuming the release from this strangeness will have to be gradual in some way, but I hope we all support our local hostelries in whatever form's possible when we can.
Many were hanging on by the fingernails already.

We've a fantastic local pub run by Steamin' Billy.
No food (other than Pork Scratchings & the odd pork pie), just a nice place to sit & a Landlord that really knows how to keep beer.
Their 'Skydiver' is a perfect pint of clean, 'no funny business'. English, Bitter.
That's what I'm doing when we're allowed out again...

Of course by this time the world will have collapsed into the 2nd medieval age so watch out for outlaws as your horse trots up to the inn

Ah the booze of choice for 3rd country workers in parts of Saudi before the religious police twigged. Apparently though it had to be drunk ice cold to avoid the taste.

And it comes with complementary toy gorget for your GI Joe.

I'm having issues drinking beer lately. It does not sit well on me anymore. Wine, also. Gives me a bad headache, like hangover as soon as I drink it.

At least you lot can get booze. We aren't allowed to buy at the moment. My wine supply is starting to go into the "red". It's either my mrs or the shiraz. A tough decision to make.
