I have been given a pamphlet, "Small Arms Training, Volume 1, Pamphlet No. 1 (India): Weapon Training 1944." It has 86 pages, 3 chapters and 4 appendices. It was passed to me with papers left by a former Burma Police officer who served in the army in Burma and India during WW2 and seems unused apart from wear on the cover and slightly rusty staples. I have offered it to the National Army Museum and had no reply. Can anyone suggest a good home for it?. Daggers

I collect Small Arms Training manuals - in general pamphlet No1 is common and cheap, but for any of these the Indian versions are quite rare and don't turn up often. I'd offer it a good home (not sure if its bad practice to offer your own home for things like this)
Surprised the National Army Museum didn't come back - I've found then very helpful in the past. However museums do have problems of being offered things that they already have. For example I know some regimental museums simply could not store let alone display all the "standard" sets of medals they get offered and as funding gets tight have an ever lengthening back log of letters they haven't got the people to answer - so they prioritise and people think they are just being rude.
I don't know about practice but would be happy to part for the price of postage. Is there a message system where we could exchange addresses?
