With so many handwheels for adjustment, I'm thinking of a cutting machine or something similar ( milling machine )

    Regards

With what looks like a large glass lens?

This has lots of handwheels for adjustment

Have to say as well that the main body has a small rectangular hole that looks like it could be a viewer to see if something is burning inside, so the main body main produce heat of some sort and maybe turn that heat into light??

In WW1 the French had a number of types of mobile search light that packed down onto a horse drawn vehicle. These had a convex protective cover for the lens that looks very much like the item lying at the rear of this machine. Between the wars the French converted many horse drawn items for motor draught by replacing the spoked wheels with pneumatic tyred ones

I think the so-called mirror is rigidly connected to the frame. Designed for maximum rotation. And therefore not to be used as a headlight. The upper arm can obviously be moved in and out. There could be some kind of tool on the lower arm.

Not a mirror but a lens And what is your evidence that it is connected to a frame?

I agree. Looks like a metal shaper but I sure don't know what that big round thing is to the left of the picture

Had another thought . Maybe an industrial food mixer. Looks like a sack of flour on the ground in front of the guy

This is now doing my head in.
Keep coming back to the thought of something re-finishing or polishing reflectors, but it'd be a bit weird to have a field device for such.
    Cookery seems as likely...

I'm with Dave55. An industrial scale bread mixer!

Definitely doesn't fit any known military cookers.
Having been trained on milling machines, screw curtting lathes etc I know that it is vital to set them up on a level very stable base. You would not mount them on a two wheel trailer. Mobile workshops were in four or six wheel trucks - often fitted with stabilising jacks.

I don't see an engine on it so I was thinking that they might be looting it from a factory but that trailer is pretty elaborate and does have levelers visible at the front corners, at least, so it was probably made for the machine to make it portable.

Picking through every trailer on Kfz der Wehrmacht.
Reminded again; they didn't half have a lot of trailers...

Well, here it the bread dough mixer from that page

There are some tie down straps in the picture on the OP, so if they are just moving it or looting it, it will make IDing harder, I think.

I thank you for the many replies to this request.

Maybe that's the wrong way. No mirror, no lens and no reflector either. Instead, it has a shiny, moist surface.

Definitely not a dough machine or something for food production. Everything was constructed far too complex.

And I also think the machine and the trailer form a single unit.

    @ van Poop
I have already searched the Wehrmacht motor vehicle page without success, and I have also found nothing adequate on Alamy and Shutterstock.

Too complex for the German Army? There isn't such a thing. :)
