He missed out by 22 days if my calculations are correct , NW Europe 4th December 1944 till May 30th 1945, I think the cut off was May 8th 1945 ..
Yes he qualified for F and G for 1 day but needed 6 months for the 39-45 star so just missed Did he serve Dunkirk in 1940 as that only required 1 day service
I'm going to frame these , not sure which cap badge to put with it though...but I'm going to buy some miniatures for my daughter as my son (being the eldest) will inherit the originals ,I'll probably have the miniatures mounted and get a nice presentation box for them ,as we attend rememberance Sundays I think my grandson is keen on wearing my fathers medals so I'm thinking miniatures be better for him ..any idea on good quality miniatures anyone ?
I supply miniatures court mounted ready for wear @£12 per medal this includes mounting bar buckram the medal ribbon and postage 3 medals £36 but if you want 2 sets I can do them for £60 as only one set of postage.
If he was in both regiments frame them with his photo and both cap badges. There is someone on eBay who sells ready to mount frames with space for medals picture and cap badges and you can open the frame and then wear the medals as it has a hook to hang the medal bar from
