Received my father's service records today ,I'll be picking them up from my brother's house after work , I'm certain there's going to be a lot of questions from myself to all you experts , and I have to say fantastic service , waited less than 3 months for them
Firstly : 3rd & 4th images are the same 5th & 7th images are the same Enlisted 18th Apr 1940 Basically he was with 216 Searchlight Regiment for the whole of the war, and between 4th Dec 1944 and 30th May 1945 he was in North West Europe (NWE) Looks as though he was discharged due to problems with his feet and varicose veins to both legs in Aug 1945 TD

Those no longer listed as Searchlight Training in 1942 are indicated with asterix, * indicating a regiment now listed as Light AA Training and ** those listed as Heavy AA Training. I'll look at that link after , yes doesn't seem much on the 216th , I noticed on his medal entitlement just the "war medal" I thought there would have been a defence medal and possibly the France Germany star ..
Hi, You’ve already posted the “last one” - it’s an excerpt of a B102. I take it you haven't been provided with any B103 forms? They are the most helpful forms when it comes to tracking a soldiers movements. Previously members have been advised to recontact MOD to query the lack of B103 - and some have been belatedly provided with the forms. In relation to the medals - I cant see an “Army Medal Office” stamp to indicate that the medals were issued. If the medals arent with the family it might be worth making an application. Defence Medal + F&G star appears appropriate - it looks like he is only a few days short of the 6 month qualification period for the 39/45 Star (cut off date in NW Europe is 8th May 1945 IIRC). Steve
