    Herman Goring Regiment? Very crude etching from the picture

    I won it at a auction in Bristol with other glass. The glass seems of the age but can’t tell if it’s genuine to be honest. Looked online for some thing similar but had no luck

    That's the problem with this sort of object: looks like a souvenir of some sort. Effort has been put in to make it - the craftmanship appears reasonable - but by who?......

    While the spelling of the surname used by many outside Germany as Goring.I would expect the Germans would spell it as "Goering".

    The German is Göring but the etching doesn’t look particularly high quality - although hard to be sure from pics.

    I agree regarding the etching especially considering the regiment that it is connected to. Below is a etched glass that was a vet bring back that is part of my collection. It is a typical one but at the same time the etching is a very high quality. Maybe some better pictures of the glass would be helpful
