A little bit of sad news today. I heard on the local radio that Frank passed away recently, aged 96. He was a passionate and lifelong supporter of Hull City Football Club.

I was lucky enough to meet Frank and his wife, Kay in Ellerker near Hull in November 2014. He served with my father in C Squadron, 56 Recce. A lovely man and a pleasure to meet with him occasionally during the past few years.

A few photos of Frank, one with his wife Kay.
    RIP old soldier.

    RIP Frank. :poppy:

The Tigers won 3-2 today at QPR, I hope he was looking down with a smile.

So sorry to hear this news Lesley. I know that you treasured your moments with Frank and of course a common bond as our fathers served with him through 56 Recce's campaigns in North Africa, Sicily and Italy. RIP Frank,

That's where I heard they'd won Steve, on Radio Humberside sports extra after the match yesterday. His son, Neil, rang in to say Frank had passed away, as some people knew him from Hull City.

Hi Lesley, as a QPR fan, I'm happier than usual to accept the defeat if I thought it might make Frank smile down on us. :)
