    Do you know how to investigate further only have a name find his division ect?:/

    No, without seeing formation signs on his sleeve, it's not possible to go further. If you have his name and can find date of birth and date of death then the next step is Service records from Glasgow which will reveal 'everything' (cryptically !)

    You could look him up on Find my Past in the RA Attestation lists.
    Or ask someone on here to do so.

    Enllisted in 1941
    He transferred to a Search Light Regiment on 28th March 1945

    Z(T) 5.2.1946 is the date of his discharge from the regular army to a Territorial Field (Fld) Regiment. He would have been eligible for recall up until the age of 45.

    Z Reserve of soldiers and officers who had served between 3 September 1939 and 31 December 1948 were available for recall if under 45 years of age.

    All would be confirmed by obtaining a copy of his service records.

    Ok thanks alot so maybe he could have been antiaircraft stayed in england for the war
