bet theres not many of us who havent been chased out the local park by 'parkies' when we were kids eh?

 

So true, so true, a million moons ago. Now I'm the one shouting...............Get off my land!!

They had their own house by the park ( now private around London and worth 600k and the rest)
You could not cycle through the park
Small ponds for paddling or your sailing boat
Water Drinking fountains (all the old ones have gone but plenty of non working Victorian ones left)

 

I remember an old boy telling me about an officious park-keeper that confiscated his ball. The misdemeanour, playing football during the cricket season.
