I salute you for all that you have done. You are one of my most admired and respected people here. Ron is another.
I was horrified that I had not caught your copyright... and told you so.

But you need to see what is being done and the future of lostaircraft is. One day even Soviet, Japanese & SEAC losses will be added.
Our continental members are doing a phenomenal job of adding Lufftwaffe losses and make staggering revisions to RAF losses. Vital information and changes.

The book, beautifully written and lavishly illustrated, is the painstakingly researched story of my brother Jack's life and his eventual death while serving in Bomber Command during the closing stages of WW2.

August 28 2014.....Canadian Lancaster VERA lifts off from the Kirmington main runway (wartime 04/22 ) now 03/21, heading 30 which will take it over Kirmington village then a right turn for a course to Cleethorpes where it conducted a flypast over the sea front.VERA is about to fly over the A180 Grimsby main road which was closed during the war...the main runway extending beyond.

Background is the former technical site and now the Humberside Airport Terminal.The quarry in the background is some way away and is the Melton quarries which produces fertilisers.

About as suitable a photo in tribute to Jack as could be
Andrew Charles "Andy" Mynarski, VC (14 October 1916 – 13 June 1944) was a Canadian airman and a recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest award for bravery in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. Mynarski was 27 years old and flew with No. 419 "Moose" Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War when he gave his life attempting to help rescue a trapped crew member. His Victoria Cross was awarded in 1946, the last such award to a Canadian airman in the Second World War.

Just finished reading “Shalom, Jack”, a wonderful and moving tribute to your brother, brilliantly researched and written. A real page turner and the kind of book that is hard to put down and I ended up finishing it in just two sittings. It was an honour to learn about your family history and struggles and of course your brothers ultimate sacrifice.
