Medal identification

    Hi my name is Chris and need some help.Just got my grandads service records and need someone to tell me which medals he was awarded.Thanks

    39-45 Star
    France Germany Star
    Defence Medal
    War Medal

    1939-1945 Star, France & Germany Star, Defence Medal and War Medal (L to R in picture).

    Not sure, but the date could be that of when those medals not already issued, were sent out following Demob.
    However this is only a thought.

    Hi,

    My reading is Part 2 Order 9/47 Medal Section - meaning the issue(likely ribbon only at that stage)/entitlement to the 2 medals on the first line was recorded in his unit Part Two Orders.
