What are we all doing on Royal wedding Day? I'm taking the dog to the vets to have her anal glands squeezed. Never could get the hang of it.

The dog will still probably have more fun tomorrow than those who have the misfortune to live anywhere near the thing..

I'm at work tomorrow, tidying up the University grounds after Summer Ball.

I'm definitely pro-royal, and at this time would choose a well-behaved hereditary over any & all of our current politicos, but have never had any interest whatsoever in their nuptials or fecundity.
    Getting married?
    Good luck to 'em.
Personally, I'm off to see Deadpool 2 with sprog beta tomorrow.

The Ginger one has played a good game in recent years, though.
The Invictus Games stuff is wholesome, the attempt to be as normal/modern as the weird situation of being a royal allows seems to be working, and things like this did him no harm in my eye:

I do like the stuff about swords. Sounds like personal experience of the things tripping people over. QE1 would've understood.

Mrs will be watching it so I will have a look too.
I wish them both well but I do think the TV coverage is OTT.

I think he is a top chap and deserves to be happy and all the best to him

To quote Sam Malone, I plan to spend the day shaving my head with a cheese grater while munching on tin foil.

Watched a good bit of it. Very nice. What a church!

Only negative was when the American minister got a few political jabs in. Moron.

I bet those carriage horses haven't eaten in the past two or three days :)

Actually all of this palaver reminded me what was going on 4 years ago to the day (on Monday 19th May 2014) - the commemorations of the 70th anniversary of the battles at Anzio, Cassino and in the Liri Valley.

I like Harry very much; I wish him all the best and hope he has a long and happy marriage. Harry's a top bloke and a credit to the Royal family.

Richard-I remember that anniversary very well and admired the way Harry spent a lot of time talking to the Veterans. A really special time for me. Italy May 2014 (2) 007.JPG

Same amount of sleep for me in July 1981 when his father married ....if you remember Andy there were huge “celebrations” in the inner cities that summer......no Davina to avoid though just the odd projectile of the fiery variety.....

I wish the couple all the very best for the future. Harry is a top bloke.
I watched the wedding but the commentary was crap to say the least.
I wonder how long before a nipper is on the way?

That kind of thing is one of the reasons why I left the Episcopal Church.
