I have been researching my Grandfathers WW2 history for a few years now and am at the point of not being able to find any more information. He never spoke about the war so we have very little 1st hand accounts from him. I have been to Kew and found the operation records for the Units he was with but couldn't find any war diaries for the units. I have visited most of the sites he was stationed. What I want to find out more about is when he spent most of his time at RAF Lossiemouth and what he did once he arrived on mainland Europe. He also received a commission for the Intelligence Duties and i can't find anything more about this at all. Any help would be much appreciated. Units he was assigned to: 20 OTU - Lossiemouth 67 Maintenance Unit - Taunton No 12 School of Technical Training - RAF Melksham No 2 School of Technical training - RAF Cosford 423 Aviation Fuel and Ammunication Park - Killinghurst then North Eastern France and Holland from October 1944 onwards.
perhaps if you post more of his service records here forum members would be able to search more info for you regards Clive

Thanks. I went to Kew and went over the operational record books including this one. I have scanned all the the documents and been over them. The info was mainly when certain people visited the unit etc. I tried to find if there was a specific war diary for the unit but came up blank.
