Well, it isn't the Lancaster but a thoughtful birthday gift nonetheless. It will have me in this lovely aircraft for a 20 minute flight on Friday at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum.

Well, congratulations! One of the very best memories I have is of a similar birthday gift, 15 mins in a Harvard some years ago. Spearman is supposed to be a lovely flyer, too - I think you're going to enjoy Friday...

    Cheers, Pat.

Hopefully the pilot will show you a loop or two. I reckon it's even better with an open cockpit.

I think I still have my copies somewhere, I was brought up on Biggles. Sound stout type that he is.

    Dicky,

I had to postpone due to some bad weather and then they took the plane off line for servicing. I could have had an alternate flight in a Harvard but I'm holding out for the open cockpit experience. Look for the flight report and photos in April or May 2018.
We have a winter to get through first!

Scheduled to go up for that flight later today. The weather is sunny, clear and 26C .
